Singapore Globalisation Journey

Singapore Globalisation Journey

International Enterprise (IE) Singapore started as the Trade Development Board (TDB) in 1983 to promote Singapore’s exports and evolved into growing Singapore’s trade and developing Singapore as a trade hub.  It is the government agency driving Singapore’s external economy, transforming Singapore into a thriving global trading hub, with a complete ecosystem for the energy, agri-commodities and metals & minerals trading clusters.

For the past 30 years, IE Singapore have been spearheading the overseas growth of Singapore-based companies and promoting international trade.  Today, Singapore has broken into the top 15 of trading nations, capturing more than 2% of the world’s total exports.

International Enterprise (IE) Singapore will celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2013.  In celebration of this significant milestone, a set of 4 stamps depicting the globalisation of Singapore is released on 10 September 2013.
