International Enterprise (IE) Singapore started as the
Trade Development Board (TDB) in 1983 to promote Singapore’s exports and
evolved into growing Singapore’s trade and developing Singapore as a trade
hub. It is the government agency driving
Singapore’s external economy, transforming Singapore into a thriving global trading
hub, with a complete ecosystem for the energy, agri-commodities and metals
& minerals trading clusters.
For the past 30 years, IE Singapore have been
spearheading the overseas growth of Singapore-based companies and promoting
international trade. Today, Singapore
has broken into the top 15 of trading nations, capturing more than 2% of the
world’s total exports.
International Enterprise (IE) Singapore will
celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2013. In celebration of this significant milestone,
a set of 4 stamps depicting the globalisation of Singapore is released on 10 September 2013.
